Basic Information for Experienced Users
IP address: Please check your Account Information sheet for appropriate IP
address.
DNS numbers: 199.190.151.1, 199.190.151.2 and 206.54.112.1
Mail Protocol: POP3
Incoming (POP3) and Outgoing (SMTP) mail servers: mail.Wyoming.com
SMTP Authentication must be enabled on
all email clients. Wyoming.com does not use SSL.
Installation instructions may
vary depending on the operating system of your computer. Please choose the
appropriate operating system.

Setting up your Contact DSL Connection (Important: Keep your
Account Information sheet in a safe spot!. You may need it at a later date.
- Click on the “Start” button located in the lower
left-hand corner of your screen.
- Select “Settings” and then “Control Panel
Double Click the “Network” icon.
- In the white box, you should see a “TCP/IP”
protocol next to an Ethernet Adapter. (Not the Dial UP Adapter)
- Click on
it once to highlight it.
- Click the “Properties” button located below the
white box.
- Click on the "IP Address" tab located
at the top of the new window.
- In the IP address field type your IP address
which is located on your account information sheet.
- In the Subnet Mask
field enter in your Subnet Mask which is located on your account
information sheet
- Click on the Gateway tab at the top. In the
"New gateway" field, please enter the gateway number given to
you on your account information sheet.
- Click the "Add" button located to the right of
the "New gateway field”. This
should transfer the number you just entered to the” Installed Gateways" field.
- Click on the "DNS Configuration" tab located at the top of the
window.
- The "Host" field contains your computer's
name. This name can be anything that you would like.
In the "Domain" field, enter
"Wyoming.com"
In the "Domain Server Search Order" field, enter
"199.190.151.1" and click
on
the "Add" button
to the right.
- Now enter "199.190.151.2" and click the "Add" button to the right.
Click the "OK" button located at the bottom of
the window. If you are prompted to restart the computer, please select "OK" and allow your computer to
restart.

Click on the “Start” Button” located in the
bottom right-hand corner of your screen
- Then double click on “Control Panel”. Windows
2000 users may need to open “Settings” to access “Control Panel”.
Windows 2000 users click on “Network and Dial-up
Connections.
Windows XP users click on “Switch to Classic
View at the top left and then select “Network Connections”.
- Right Click on the “Local Area Connection” icon
and then select properties.
- Click “Internet Protocol TCP/IP once so that it
is highlighted.
- Then click the “Properties” button at bottom
right of the white box.
- Then select the option “Use the following IP
address” and “Use the following DNS server addresses”
- Then enter the IP
information provided to you on your account information sheet.
- Once the information is entered click “OK” and
close any remaining windows. This computer should now be online.

Click on the “Start” button. Depicted as an orb
with a Windows icon (located in the lower left-hand corner of the screen),
and go to Control Panel.
- Click on Network and Internet.
Click on the Network and Sharing Center,
from the Left-hand column select Manage Network Connections.
- Under LAN or High-Speed Internet, right click on
the Local Area Connection
- Click on Properties from the drop down menu.
Make sure that both Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and Client for Microsoft
Networks are checked.
- Click one time on Internet Protocol Version 4
(TCP/IPv4) to highlight it.
- Then click on the Properties button.
Then select the options “Use the following IP
address” & “Use the following DNS server addresses.
- Then enter the IP
information provided to you on your account information sheet.
- Once the information is entered click “OK” and
close any remaining windows. This computer should now be online.

From the start menu, right click on an area of
the screen with no tiles.
- This will display an option at the bottom to
view all applications.
- Once you have selected “View All Applications” ,
Scroll to the right and locate “Control Panel”. *Note: If you are unable
to locate this try “Right Clicking” on the start menu from the Desktop.
From here you can also select “Control Panel”.
From the “Control Panel” Select “Network and
Sharing Center”.
- On the left hand side of the window select,
“Change Adapter Settings”.
- Right Click on the LAN adapter and select
“Properties”
- Select “TCP/IP version 4”
and click on the properties button.
In the IP address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway
and DNS fields please enter the IP information located on your account
information sheet.
** Note for Windows 8
Home Basic installs **
On some home versions of
Windows 8, you will only see an option to enter an IP address on this screen.
In order to enter the gateway and the subnet mask, you will need to enter the
IP address and then select the advanced button below and you will be able to
enter the Gateway. Once select OK and return to the previous menu, you will
then be able to enter the subnet mask and select OK.

At the top left of your screen select the "Apple Menu,”.
- Then select "Control Panel."
- Select the "TCP/IP" icon
Set the "Connect via:" field to "Ethernet"
- Set the "Configure:" field to "Manually"
In the "IP Address:" field, enter the IP information
included in your Account Information sheet.\
- In the "Router address:" field, please enter the Gateway
number given to you on your account information sheet.
- In the "Name server addr.:" field, please enter
"199.190.151.1," and then enter "206.54.112.1"
In the "Search domains:" field, please enter "Wyoming.com."
- Please close this window and
save changes when prompted.

- Then select “System Preferences”.
Under Internet & Wireless select the
“Network” icon.
- At the left side select “Ethernet”.
Next to Configure IPv4 click on the drop down
menu and select “Manually”
Enter the IP information in the respected fields
with the IP information included on your account information sheet. *Note:
The field labeled “Router” is requesting for the “Default Gateway”
information included on your account information sheet.
Also enter the Wyoming.com DNS servers. DNS1:199.190.151.1, DNS2:199.190.151.2, DNS3 206.54.112.1
- If there
is not a place to enter this information click on the “Advanced..” button
located at the bottom right.
Select the “DNS” tab at the top. Then press the
+ sign at the bottom left. You can now enter the required DNS information.
*Note: When adding multiple DNS addresses be sure to separate them with a,
(comma) or ;(semi-colon).

At the top left of your screen select the “Apple
Menu”.
- Once all of the required information is entered
click on “OK” or “Apply” where necessary. This computer should now be online.
