Email Setup Outlook/Outlook Express/Windows Mail
Determine which version of Outlook/Outlook Express/Windows Mail that you are using.
Double-click on the Outlook Express icon. (You may see the version number as it opens.)
Click on Help.
Click on About Microsoft Outlook Express. Make a note of your version.

Adding an account:
  • Click on Tools
  • Click on Accounts
  • Click on Add
  • Choose Mail and click on Add
  • Fill in the appropriate information.
  • Display Name: enter your name, nickname, or company name
  • E-mail Address: enter your username@Wyoming.com
  • Incoming mail(POP3): mail.wyoming.com
  • Outgoing mail(SMTP): mail.wyoming.com
  • Log on using: enter username and password
  • Account name: mail.wyoming.com (will be there by default)
  • Choose Connect using a phone line
  • Click Finish
Checking Mail Server Settings:
  • Click on Tools
  • Click on Accounts
  • Click on the Mail tab
  • Choose your Wyoming.com account and click on Properties
  • Click on the Server tab
Make sure that Incoming mail(POP3): is  mail.wyoming.com
Make sure that Outgoing mail(SMTP):mail.wyoming.com
Make sure that Account name: is just your username.
Do NOT select "use secure password authentication"

  • Change the Outgoing Port number from 25 to 587
  • Ensure that SSL is NOT turned on
If you access your email account on multiple computers or devices put a check in the box labeled Leave a copy of

messages on the server Click OK.

  • Click Next

  • Enter username and password. 
  • If you would like Outlook to remember your credentials check Remember Password
  • At the bottom right click on More Settings

  • Select Logon using Clear text authentication 
  • Click Next
  • Click Finish
  • Change the outgoing port number from 25 to 587
  • Place a check in the box labeled Outgoing server requires authentication

  • The first time Windows Mail attempts to access your email it should prompt for your password for the email account. 
  • Enter the password and select remember password if you would like Windows Mail to remember your information.

  • Click on Show More Details
  • Enter your E-mail Address: (Example)username@wyoming.com
  • Enter your Username
  • Incoming mail(IMAP): mail.wyoming.com: Port: 143: Do NOT check SSL
  • Outgoing mail(SMTP): mail.wyoming.com: Port: 587: Do NOT check SSL
  • Check Outgoing server requires authentication
  • Check Use the same username and password to send and receive email
  • Click Connect

Checking Mail Server Settings:

  • Click on Mail

At the bottom Click on the drop down box and select Edit SMTP Server List

Select use custom port and enter 587
Re-enter your username and password if necessary.

MacMail 6x
 
By default MacMail 6 will attempt to setup an email account automatically. If this does work in the Add Account dialog

hold down the Option( ) key, and notice that the Create buttons changes to read Continue. Click the newly-existent Continue button, and you can set up your e-mail account manually, just as you could in MacMail 5
 
Adding an account:
  • Click on Mail
  • Click on Preferences
  • Select the Accounts tab 
  • At the bottom left click on the plus(+) sign
  • Enter your email address and password
  • Hold Option ( ) on your keyboard. Notice the Create button now reads Continue. 
  • Click on Continue

Adding an account:

  • At the bottom left-hand side click on the plus(+) sign
  • Select Email…
  • Enter your account information
  • Enter name, nickname or company name
  • Enter your username and password
  • Re-enter your username if necessary
  • Next to Type Select POP
  • Incoming mail(POP3): mail.wyoming.com
  • Outgoing mail(SMTP): mail.wyoming.com
  • Select Override default port and replace 25 with 587 in next to the Outgoing server.
  • Click on Add Account
  • Close any remaining windows and you should be able to send/receive email.

Make sure that Incoming mail(POP3): is mail.wyoming.com
Make sure that Outgoing mail(POP3): is mail.wyoming.com
Make sure that your username and password is correct
Uncheck Always user secure password
At the bottom Click on More Options. Set Authentication to User Name and Password
Re-enter username and password if necessary.
Click OK

Thunderbird 13 and earlier

Adding an account:

  • Click on Tools
  • Click on Account Settings
  • On the bottom of the column on the left: Click on Add Mail Account
  • Fill in your name: (Example) John Smith
  • Enter your E-mail Address: (Example) username@wyoming.com
  • Enter your E-mail account password
  • Click on ‘Continue’
  • Click on ‘Manual Config’
  • Incoming mail(POP3): mail.wyoming.com: Port 110: SSL None: Authentication: Normal Password.
  • For Incoming mail(Imap): mail.wyoming.com: Port 143: SSL None: Authentication: Normal Password
  • Outgoing mail(SMTP): mail.wyoming.com: Port 587: SSL None: Authentication: Normal Password.
  • Click on Create Account
  • Click on Finish

Checking Mail Server Settings:

  • Click on Account Settings
  • Click on Server Settings in the column on the left.

  • Click on ‘Continue’

Eudora

 
Adding and account: 

Eudora requires that you set up your email account during the installation process and only works well when a single account is set up on it

  • Enter your email address
  • Enter the beginning part of your email address as the username (everything before @wyoming.com)
  • Enter your email account password
  • Select either POP or IMAP for your server type  *Note: POP will download the messages from the server and move them to your computer. IMAP will only access emails currently residing in your Wyoming.com inbox.
  • The incoming mail server name is mail.wyoming.com
  • The outgoing mail server name is Mail.wyoming.com
  • Checking settings on Eudora:
  • Click on the Tools menu at the top and select ‘Options’
In the first window make sure that your username is correct and that both the incoming and outgoing mail servers are set to mail.wyoming.com
  • Click on ‘Checking Mail’ in the column on the left
  • Make sure that ‘Secure Sockets when Receiving’ is set to Never
  • Click on ‘Incoming Mail’ in the column on the left
  • Make sure that ‘Authentication Style’ is set to Password
  • Click on ‘Sending Mail’ in the column on the left
  • Make sure that ‘Allow Authentication’ and ‘Use Submission Port (587)’ are checked
  • Make sure that ‘Secure Sockets when Sending’ is set to Never

 

 
 

IncrediMail 2.0

Adding an account

  • Click on Tools
  • Click on Email Accounts

  • Click on Let me configure settings myself
  • Click on Other
  • Fill in your name: enter your name John Smith

  • Incoming mail(POP3): mail.wyoming.com

Note: * We do not list each Android device’s individual walkthrough. Each Android device is slightly different. It can be more confusing than helpful to try to list them all. Please contact your device manufacturer to assist with any setup on these devices.

Adding an account:

  • Incoming Mail Server: mail.wyoming.com
  • Username: Your email username
  • Password: Your email password
  • Outgoing Mail Server: mail.wyoming.com
  • Use the same username and password for your outgoing mail server
  • SSL should be turned off on both the incoming and the outgoing mail server
  • Incoming Server Ports - (POP): 110 (IMAP): 143
  • Outgoing Server Ports(SMTP): 587
  • Check "requires outgoing authentication"

 

 
 

IPhone/IPad/Ipod Setup

Adding an account:

  • From the Home screen, choose Settings
  • Next, tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"
  • In the Accounts section, tap Add Account.
  • For Account type select ‘Other’
  • Enter your name and email address. Then tap Next,
  • For the Incoming mail server enter: mail.wyoming.com
  • Enter your email username and password
  • For the Outgoing mail server enter: mail.wyoming.com
  • Enter your username and password here as well, even though they read "optional"
Save to save the entered information. Your iPhone will then verify your account information. During the verification process your device will pop up an error that it is unable to connect using SSL, select that you want to continue without SSL
It may pop up this same error twice, select continue without SSL both times
Checking Mail Server Settings:
  • From the "Home" screen, tap the "Settings" icon.
  • Tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendars".
  • Select the account you wish to modify.
  • Under ‘Outgoing Mail server’ Click on the karat pointing to the right
  • Under ‘Primary Mail Server’ make sure it’s set to mail.wyoming.com and click the karat again
  • Make sure that the username and password are entered and don’t just read ‘optional’
  • Use SSL should be set to Off
  • Authentication should be set to Password
  • The server port should be set to 587

 

Windows Phone

Adding an account:  
  • From the start screen flick the screen to the left to pull up the app list
  • Click on ‘Settings’
  • Click on ‘Email + Accounts’
  • Tap on ‘Add an Account’
  • Tap on ‘Other Account’
  • Enter your email address
  • Enter your email account password
  • Tap ‘Sign In’
Your phone will try to automatically verify account settings and will most likely fail, when it does so tap on ‘Advanced’ to set up the account manually
  • Tap ‘Internet email account’
  • Enter your name
  • Select whether you would prefer a POP account or an IMAP account, either will work
  • Enter your incoming mail server name as mail.wyoming.com
  • Re-enter your username and password if they have been blanked out
  • Enter your outgoing mail server name as mail.wyoming.com
  • Select that ‘Outgoing server requires authentication’
  • Select to ‘Use the same username and password to send and receive mail’
  • Select ‘Sign In’

 

INSTRUCTIONS TO CHANGE AN E-MAIL ACCOUNT PASSWORD

E-MAIL PASSWORD REQUIREMENTS

♦Passwords must be eight (8) to twenty (20) characters in length

♦Contain at least one (1) number character

♦Contain at least one special character from these choices only:

! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) ~ ` - = _ + [ ] \ { } | : ” ; ’ , . / < > ?

♦Contain at least one (1) upper case and one (1) lower case letter

♦Cannot match the email login name or email address

♦Cannot re-use a previous password

INSTRUCTIONS TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD

1. Go to

www.wyoming.com;

2. Click the link “Email log in” in the upper right corner of any page;

3. Sign into your email account(s);

4. Click “Options” within the menu on the left hand side of your WebMail page;

5. Click on “Password” on the left hand portion of the page;

6. Follow the Instructions for all five fields you see here;

7. Click Save.

 

IMPORTANT NOTES

♦If you have not set-up a Password Question and Answer, please do so at this time.

♦“New Password Question” - You do NOT have to contact our Customer Service

Department to enter your question. You will have to delete all default text you see

in this field before entering your question.

♦Don’t forget to click “Save” when you are finished so your new password and

security Q & A is saved.

♦Please test your new password at this point by logging out and back in with the new password. If you use an email software program

(e.g., Outlook or MacMail), please refer to the instructions on our E-Mail Support page: www.wyoming.com/pid/64/E-mail.aspx. Simply select your e-mail program for simple step-by-step instructions.
